Hey does anybody know when the Gisa schools will find out which region and class they are in for the next 2 years after this one? I have heard that Ghsa school coaches are already working on schedules for 2020 and 2021 and a few are calling Gisa teams to try to set up games. Will Gisa have that stupid single A again with only 4 teams? Why dont they just have like 14 classes with 2 teams in every class that way everybody gets a $#@(ing trophy and goes home happy what a joke and they think some privates are going to come back from the GHSA ha ha keep dreaming.
i fear much of the running around by the gisa talking to this group and that, will come to nothing and leave schools with little time to get schedules and just have to take what the gisa heads give us.
Based on the draft regions and classifications released today, there hasn't been a mass exodus out of GISA. There were 56 schools listed for 2019-2020 and there are 51 listed for 2020-2022.
How many are football schools?
4 left GISA that were football schools - Deerfield-Windsor, Heritage, Loganville Christian & Flint River - Westwood moved to 8-man - I don't see Notre Dame listed in a football region at all for 20-22, but they are listed on the "Home Regions" page (which is for CC, Golf, Tennis, Track, Lit, One-Act, Debate) so I'm not sure what happened to their football for 20-22. Notre Dame's football program was growing so I'm surprised that they would drop football altogether.
Nope, Augusta Prep (previously AAA) moved down. There are now only 3 AAA regions and 3 AA regions, so there was some shifting between regions, but the only move between AAA and AA up or down was Augusta Prep moving down.
jodypeterman: JMA, Fred, Heritage, Tiftarea, Southland, Valwood, Loganville Christian - and BA and Pinewood looking like they can beat somebody. Sorry for sending JMA twice. Not used to typing on desk top.

thehammer: The only “sit out rule” the GHSA has is when a kid doesn’t make a actual address move into another district!

thehammer: if they move to an address in a new school district and live with legal parents or guardians they don’t sit out!

thehammer: The GHSA “sit out” Transfer rule only applies to kids that don’t move into new schools district! If they make a address change to the new district, actually live at new address with legal parent(s) or guardians they don’t sit out!

thehammer: private schools have no districts unless they are self imposed.

thehammer: makes zero sense unless my school can’t/doesn’t do it so I demand yours does not.

tuckydawg: Big game down in Valdosta Friday night when Lowndes takes on Colquitt County. The contest between the #1 and #3 teams in 7A should be a great one. Go Pack.
